ABOUT ECCLESHALL TENNIS CLUB
Eccleshall Tennis Club is a fantastic local venue that boasts two all-weather Tiger Turf courts in the heart of the countryside. Located in the wonderful town of Eccleshall, it's got a lovely clubhouse and ample parking. Filled with some amazing members, of all ages and abilites, it provides a walm welcome to all those interested in becoming part of the club!
Throughout the year we host social events, playing events, regular playing and coaching sessions and both Junior and Adult competitive teams... One thing is for sure, you'll never not have a tennis date in your diary!

HISTORY OF THE CLUB
The club was founded in 1974 by the local GP Dr C R Harrison together with other interested residents of the locality and in 1976 work began with the official opening in 1977. The generosity of Eccleshall Castle estate in making land available on a lease enabled the building of the two hard courts with substantial parking area and then the clubhouse (second hand) was built in 1982.
Significant refurbishments to the clubhouse were undertaken in 2002 by the members and in 2004 the courts were re-surfaced and painted. Lights were installed in 2005.
The fabric of the facilities is maintained by the members on a voluntary basis with specialist contractors engaged for court re-painting, cleaning etc.
